Bonnie Katz Award

At our Feb. 2, 2022 Midwinter Conference, we announced three winners of the Bonnie Katz Award in its inaugural year.

Named in honor of our WLA and Ossining Library colleague and friend, Bonnie was a passionate supporter of libraries, lifelong learning, and library workers. Our three recipients also reflect that same dedication and commitment to our patrons and communities.

The winners are:
Alan Houston
Adult Services Librarian
Yonkers Will Public Library

Rebecca Fitzgerald
Children’s Librarian

WLA President Kim Stucko noted that “Bonnie saw the BEST in all of us…and with her heart called it forth; when we do good, we honor her memory.” We congratulate the winners, and thank them and all our WLA members for their outstanding service!
