NYC Visit by Cuban Library Leader
At 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11, Cuban library leader Gisela Delgado
will speak at the 15th floor Conference Center of the New York Times,
located at 620 Eighth Avenue (at 40th-41st St.) The moderator will be
Rafael Pi Roman of
Channel 13.

Gisela Delgado is the director of Cuba' s largest group of independent
libraries, Cuba's independent library movement has been awarded the
Swedish Liberal Party's Democracy Prize.
Gisela's husband, Hector Palacios, will be a co-speaker at this major
event. Hector was adopted as a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty
International after he was arrested in 2003 during a raid on the Dulce
Maria Loynaz Library. For
